I also agree bring the attack button back. And make the Merc flt useful by making it as the base defender to even out the playing field.

Yeah - lack of attack button is a let down
Now when i hit a base i dont have to check on comms if someone waiting, dont need support, dont need to give support.
takes half the fun away for attacking the bases

actually swag there was a defense against it,im surprised you dont know this......leave battle early hit recall on fleet, when battle was over fleet moved so you never got sniped or ninja so your excuse is just that an excuse,do you not think we play and know if there is a defense or not.................. wow

I don't know what everyone is whining about, it just takes skill to be a ninja now. I have ninja'd 4 fleets already today and it's not even noon yet

This is a nice thing, and i agree, but it seems the fleet battles have suffered a ill fate from this...Now the strong fleets can run around only picking off weak fleets without any worries of being hit. Is this portion working as you intended, or just an oversight? Doesnt matter, lol, it sux either way.
With the new update we introduced Spectator Mode. The new mode replaced the “Attack” button that was visible when a player clicked on a fleet that was attacking a base. This method was being used to ambush, or “ninja”, a fleet immediately after it attacked a base.

This method of hovering over the attack button while a player is attacking a base has been removed because it requires zero skill. A player that has finished attacking a base has to wait for the world map to load and close out the battle report screen, while a player attempting to “ninja” only had to click once to attack. There was no defense against it and required no skill to accomplish.

Players are still welcome to attempt to ambush a player after a base attack, but now the player that was attacking the base will have a fighting chance to escape. In fact we even encourage players to try to ambush other players to see how wicked fast you can be and show off your skillz.

The problem I have is that the lag is so bad that it is almost impossible to attack a fleet as it comes off a base.
With that and the "white screen" and freezes this game has really gone downhill in a big way.
Give us back the attack button to help defend our friend's bases and fleets and bring back the enjoyment of the game.

Would be nice if you fixed the glitches too.

Thank you kixeye removing the attack button. Makes hitting base even more fun! For those ninjas whining you can always go hit attackers base....

And you've never encountered the player who get a buddy bubble immediately after he'**** your friends base? Tell me, how are we to attack those bases? I await your answer with bated breath.

while i like the idea of not getting hit when coming out of a base, is it possible to have an attack button option on a fleet vs fleet battle? if my neighbors have guard fleets out, and they are attacked, i still can't help.

The element of annihilation you mean, base attacks will be nill if the attacker has to fight an outside guard, an inside guard. a base and another sector guardian on exit.
All you **** crying, just want a chance to jump a fleet that has just engaged in 3 battles. Where all you do is hit it 1x and it's gone, free res no dmg and 1 shot fired.
For the record I liked defending sector. and was vehemently against a patrol fleet, All you piss moaners where all so happy to put together your "uncrackable bases" voted for the patrol fleet got your way, So stfu stop crying and adapt to what you cried for in the first place!
I suggest ya all watch Penn & Tellers vid about a petition to ban di-hydrogen monoxide and take the lesson from it.

For those to stupid to get the message I'll elaborate, BEFORE YOU CRY GIVE ME GIVE ME GIVE, ASK AT WHAT COST,IS WHAT I'LL BE RECIEVING

Who's the one crying ^, this sounds like an EPIC CRY to me. :crying: :crying:

All I did was to propose a levelling system to make some sort of sector defence possible. You're obviously one of the unskilled players who got their base fleets sunk by subs after every base attack.

You can not attack a player as they leave the base anymore. I say return the attack button of leave the GAMING WORLD forever cause you have no clue!!! I help defend my sector and the key thing I do is attack the attackers and since this update happened it can no longer be done. When they bubble a base they are protected long enough with the bubble to allow them to get away.

It will probably be different options avaliable for defending your alliance mates later when alliance functions are applied to the game. Then you will no longer defend your sector, but the alliance you're in or yourself. I like that the ninjabutton is out of the game.

Lets see now...how about a game before and after?
    Before:
You had your friends covering you in a hostile waters of others sector when you went base hitting (just in case somebody tries to help the poor SOB)
You see your base or your friends base is under attack. You post in comms and depending on situation you can count somebody will respond and try to help.
Social interaction is vital (ganging up on a enemy, getting help in form of higher players opening up salvs for lower ones etc.)
Little guy feels he can hurt the big guy (David vs. Goliath)

    After
No matter how many baddies are waiting for you...THEY CAN NEVER CATCH YOU...therefor why you need your friends to back you up?
You can now post and ask for help during your base getting attacked but others can only stand and watch.
Small guy is doomed to fight AI (Drac, offline players) and losses the "place" in BP world apart from being big guys food.

Now we can go on and on about this but bottom line is this:
By removing attack option you have effectively removed any form of social interaction (one of the trade marks of BP), wrecked the entire game and changed something that was working without problem (hmmm one more trademark of KIXEYE) and replaced it with something that's working WITH problems (pattern?!?). I urge you to at least take under advisement possibility of returning the attack option back to its place.

    :D

Defending your friends/sector was one of best parts of game, why bother talking to anyone else in game when lone wolf attacks seem to be the way the game is going ? epic fail

Did you even research this with people playing the game? So you are only taking this particular "no skill" tactic away...first of all only about 40% of the "hovering over the attack" buttons works...WHY? Because of another "no skill" tactic. These people have figured out how to use split screen to click away from the base on the second screen and NEVER get hit..but you are missing the whole point SWAG..You have just eliminated FVF from your game. Some players, like me, spent the whole year in this game developing FVF skills..PLUS

It creates TEAMWORK. Other bases send fleets to cover...while defenders have friends who send fleets to battle the covering fleets...you get fricking MIDWAY every time. Now I won't go to a base to hit a fleet because you first have to wait for the fight to end..then you have to click the fleet..then click the attack...lol...are you playing your own game SWAG? I have not seen ONE SINGLE SUCCESSFUL attack of an exiting fleet.

I don't intend to revamp to base hitting..I joined the weekend boycott and come back to this lame answer. Taking my credits elsewhere..I understand war commander is pretty fun.

lol..I agree with the lag...the very reason i spent a year on fvf instead of base hitting is that i can STILL only participate ini 1 of 5 battles..i have endless refreshes or jumping out of the base and clicking again..when I finally do get control I click and it highlights and moves 3 seconds later...my ships look like a drunk marching band...don't give me the "change your system" garbage it isn't the system and I have used 3 different browsers.

"it's a beta game" isn't working anymore....eventually even teenagers turn 18 and have to be held accountable.

    Hello

    love the battle view
can we have the attack back or added to view
there is no longer anyway to get fleets that are attacking bases or other fleets
by the time there done there gone o.O
1 if the person is attacking a base he/she just reloads the game then goes to their fleet (waits for battle to end) and recalls and where left looking at them leave
2 when they attack a fleet they wait for the battle to almost be done then they go to map and click a new spot on map and their gone

they have their fleet already loaded but we no longer do

i actually liked ambushing the fleets. i mean, it was easy resources and you caused some stress to your enemy..... and honestly, if they didnt know to refresh their page and start trying to move by this point, they kinda deserve to die. oh well, life goes on. perhaps this update will get more revenge attacks on bases instead of just people bragging when they sink an almost dead fleet exiting a base.

Lol Zeke...its like when they didn't think out subs and lost all the revenue because people quit jumping to levis and sw's and just built quick repair subs...of course the base hitters love this update. Its funny...I quit KOC because of players and alliance issues...same with Brittain 1938...never thought I would leave because of an update.....may watch a few battles...but while YOU spent your time becoming a good base hitter...I spent my year building fvf fleets and becoming a very good fvf player...I don't intend to start all over ...you base hitters enjoy

The more I read that SWAG the more incredible it sounds...who cares how someone was using the "attack fleet"..that is the amazing thing about these games. The way they evolve...your relocate changed the who complexion of the game..it created roving bands of "invaders" and thus "sector defender"...I doubt that was what was "intended"...but who cares? Your missile fuel allowed people to sit on the outside and drain warehouses without taking a hit where they couldn't get in before..i doubt that was "intended"...your subs effectively ended the levi and took away a ton of SW research and builds..now I KNOW that wasn't "intended" because it cost you.
As long as it isn't a hack or a glitch...who cares how someone uses that particular feature..let the game evolve and don't get personal on it.

I followed 3 different people attacking in my sector last night and today as they went from base to base and miner to miner attacking. I could do nothing to stop them. Not only that, but they can repeatedly attack the same base until it bubbles. Again, I can do nothing about it. This is a social game. My favorite part of the game was when one sector would send 20 fleets to attack a base in another sector who had 20 fleets waiting to defend. The chaos that happened after that was great. That's all gone now. Alliances and friendships are irrelevant now. Unless both parties want a FvF battle, or one party is asleep at the wheel or leaves a fleet unattended, there are no FvF battles. Meanwhile, a level 32 can take a trip to the next sector and hit 10 level 27 bases with no repercussions. Sure, maybe the level 27s will attack the level 32
s base, but who cares? Little to no damage will be done. This makes anyone who isn't a superhigh level a farm. It takes the social aspect and fun out because I can't help anyone and noone can help me.

You are right Mattlo...I have only been watching since Friday...I can't attack bases because of my system..I don't want to give up a year's worth of input into this game but I can't play anymore like this...It is sad that Swag put his own personal idea of what the "attack button" was "intended" for...as long as it was used without a glitch or a hack it should have been "intended" for whatever that player wanted to use it for...this sort of "personal infusion" by SWAG is way out of line and not what I signed up for...

Protecting your friends and allies is a part of the game you’re making harder with these kinds of updates! You want players to join together and help each other in the raids but when it comes to the everyday battles you nurf the hell out of things! What’s next you going to give everyone a participation ribbon? Whit the weak buff you run to make it really time for each player it’s hard to as you call it “ninja” players as the lag lets them slip away. And if a player is solo attacking well then they deserve to be sank. Plus there is a hack that makes it almost impossible to hook them (Teflon hack) if you design something and find it is more then was intended don’t nurf it design a counter method to it like in the real world when one side gets a big gun the other side builds a bigger one. Sometimes sending home a dead fleet is all some players can do for what ever reason you should not have taken it away for them!

What many seems to think, and where so many is wrong: That this is an team game! - It's not.

The only time, where we ware allowed to play together was in the BI I & II, and for most people, they went in and stole the kill.

This game is geared around and setup to be played as, 1 vs the rest. Be happy you got an sector chat, so you can social a bit. When they put in real team play, I'm pretty sure they will add more functions that is geared toward team play.
But as the game is of right now, and every since it came out... It have been the lone wolfs that have won.

I love it when clans/crews are gonna tell me who they will give me hell, and in the end all I see is them running around giving sissy bubbles to each others. :(
The lone wolf, have more options then the crew... Look at it this way, ie. I own 5 base fleets, I make 'friends' with an small clan, and we starts to battle it out, for god sake, lets say we all are equal in strength... meaning we all have the options to crush each others... Who will come out on top? The lone wolf... Because every single time he goes out killing 5 bases, and bring home ~125m in loot, the clan can max steal 25m from him. (if we are saying its HH without cargo hold)... So resources wise, the lone wolf is the winner... And why lone wolfs are so **** deathly in the game.
