Like the ideas, they are great for stalkers, but Preds were overpowered already.

How about making these specials have a high increase in overall weight. That way if someone does want to use the tier3 sub special on a Pred, they have to drop back to havok 3's to keep in weight ...

Without engines (they will have to remove them to add a different special) the predator will be extremely easy to kill, so I wouldn't worry.

Than give seawolfs and leviathan's torpedoes that can hit subs underwater and or CVLWT countermeasures if so add a special slot as well and raise weight for them.

subs are way to strong as it is

Personally i dnt bother with subs, had them, they were gr8 till i got my SW setup for salvages, then i scrapped them due to cargo size, since the introduction of subs new players have had an easy ride, those of us from the pre sub era had to struggle more, finding a setup tht was effective, I for 1 couldnt take lvl6 and up without taking damage, lvl4 and 5 i had a setup for auto attack, was working on a setup for the higher lvls but then didnt need to due to subs and then SFB. these have made the game to easy for players its put me off quite alot, i dnt play nearly as much as a result, even jus usin a SW fleet i can gather all i need for researches/builds in a matter of hours so thts all i play anymore, spend more time going through the forum and talking to players.

There are currently no specials in the Advanced Lab that are designed specifically to boost the effectiveness of submarines.

We will be adding 3 pieces of special equipment to the Advanced Lab that will allow submarines to:
    • Increase Havoc Torpedo damage.
    • Stay submerged for longer sprints in between surfacing.
    • Increase the submarine's ability to avoid detection from sonar.

These additions should make the submarines, especially the Stalker, more desirable in combat.

when are we going to see the already frustrating issues fixed instead of adding more things to go wrong. white screen issues the constant upgade flash player to 10 when i already run 11. i have lost more fleets to **** ups with the game than i ever have to battles. this is an ever increasing problem and and spoils the game for everyone.

I know you fought about something to increase sub range too,Swag, but there is a simple reason why not:
If they have the same range as SFB 3 missiles there would be NO way of us destroying them without damage

I love the tears of bad players who can't deal with subs. These are approximately useless for predators. Increased damage might be workable for just salvaging, but that's about it. It *might* be enough to make stalkers interesting, however. DU IV stalkers can be pretty vicious if used right, but not enough to be worth the repair time, this might just be interesting enough to be worth it. I'm perfectly happy to agree that concussive armor for ships might be a good thing, though. Screw it. Anything to get the cry babies to shut up about subs. I haven't used them since I got SWs, but I kind of liked them. They're fun. The idiot whiners are the same sort who never used a PvP trinket and yet managed to whine loud enough to get rogues nerfed repeatedly in WoW.

Sorry no good for me,not giving up engines on predators. Maybe if they got a 2nd special slot then that would be good. Losing engines on them makes them worthless for salvages or fleet battle. For the stalker I wish they would add a toggle to stay surfaced to use surface weapons longer, which would be good for base attacks.

So you're saying that you would prefer the special allow the Stalker to stay at surface level longer, as doing so would make them better for base attacks. What does everybody else think of this?

I think that there should be something that makes that you don't need to submerge...so that you can control when you submerge and come back up(though you can only stay submerged for a certain time)

I think that it wouldnt matter which direction the developers went with Stalkers, as long as it was more clear (and useful) than it is now. Being able to stay on top longer would be a bit of a double edged sword so to speak because they would be more vulnerable while navigating through base channels, but would also have more damage time after (if) reaching the back.

Until i can personally try the new stuff for the stalkers, i would have to say that i would still not use them, as the cost still seems to outweigh the benefits.

I think having any type of control over the amount of time spend on the surface would be preferably. For some people, be able to keep the sub on the surface would allow better use of the weapons. For others, staying down longer and having 4 torpedoes would be more useful in fleet battles...differently configurations for different uses.

The biggest problems with Stalkers are still the cost of the build and the excessive repair times.
Yes, I'm back to playing this game. Someone shoot me.

instead of having a special that keeps subs surfaced it would be better to have another weapon that will fire at surface targets while still submerged.

This is super fantastic meaty news. I built 4 stalkers just to use as an annoyance, only filled the armor and torpedo slots, no specials or surface weapons equipped so now i have a ready built blank canvas to play with these new specials :D perhaps they'll now be used for something other than a base guard.

Edit: Any chance of the repair time time being reduced for these things? 18 hours for 4 stalkers and a wolf flagship is kinda ridiculous, i mean seriously, the lowest repair cost in res but longest repair time of any fleet I have, another reason I rarely use them.

Your doing all of these things for the Submarines, but you won't fix the battlecruiser. What a let down for the event winners of Revenge Raid3, a slap in the face to them all. The battlecrusiers in a level 6 salvage weighs in at over 3000tons, but we got a ship with 2040tons. I want it repaired so I can mount 4 assault missile on it like the level 6 salvage battlecrusiers have on them, and be able to mount armor and specials. What a load of crap, and then to top it off. You are effectively taking the only saving feature of the battlecrusier away from it with the piece of advanced tech that will allow submarine to avoid sonar detection. Can you go a clip the balls off of the winners of Revenge Raid 3 anymore!

there are specials that can be used on subs and are very effective I don't build subs for instant repair i build to kill subs sonar and titanium 1 on my sub killers and drac armor with eng for my salvage sub. why waste time constantly repairing subs that are quick repair while everyone is repairing those 4 min i have killed 3 salvages

if all this is gonna happen i need decent sonar, the range on sonar 3 is still crap, and if range on torps is longer than there will really be no reason to have it at all, ive tried to use sonar and it does nothing. with long range torps sonar is completely useless. also add sonar to the base, not on a turret we dont have enough of those as is, but as a standalone building.

For the size and cost of a stalker i think we should be able to have more torps on it,even if its onlt as a option to the extra weapons slots
