when will this be brought in cause i just got attacked by subs and got a 2hour repair bill after sinking 6 of the same fleet
I quit this game, it's complete crap, don't try to convince me to play again cause I recycled EVERYTHING to make sure I don't go back.

Near as I can tell, all of the comments are either "Love it", "Hate it" or some variation of "Make the repair time such-and-such"
This doesn't remove the problem (is it a problem), rather the mechanism (we can argue problem later) of fleet spamming. That can be done with any ship in the game, if the player is willing to pay. A better solution, in my mind, solves only the problem of sub invulnerability.
And that is the major problem!
Subs, even if you can see them, can't be hurt by any weapon for 75% of the battle time.
If they changed the subs invulnerability when submerged, this would return the balance to the game. If you have sonar, or if your ship is close enough that it's natural sub-detection range is able to detect the sub, it will show up in your game screen; you can still only damage a sub with torpedos. And some ships cannot be equiped with torpedos. If any weapon could damage a sub (assuming you've detected it) then the problem of subs destroying a much larger fleet is really not much of a problem anymore. They're still invisible (and so invulnerable) until you find them, but at least if they could be damaged, then they wouldn't be a threat.
the instant repair is all the subs have going for em you take it away and ill personally stop using them and make my build infamous no missle no mortar heavy dps and high speed as it is all i use the preds for are level 8s and higher and all those crying about subs are prolly the ones using the missles and that if they to stuck on long range to realize that there are missles that shoot underwater they wouldnt be complaining about subs it would be somthing else myself personally i like fighting the subs the way they are and will take them out if brought to my base everytime but then im sure anyone who has striker d51L would say the same thing so idk i guess ill be seeing where this games gonna go in the next few weeks
Please look at your keyboard. The button two positions right of the "M" is called a "period." They are used to end sentences and break up your thoughts. Please research its use and implement it in future postings so that others are able to understand your thoughts. If you don't care about your thoughts enough to properly punctuate them, you will find that others do not care enough about your thoughts to read them.
Love the idea i have 4 subs myself have 22min repair for each one its unfair tht i have a 22 min repair and they have instant so i hope this goes into effect

You made a choice to build subs in a way that resulted in a 22 minute repair for each and I choose to build subs with a 4 minute (i.e. instant) repair each and that is unfair?!? Who made you build your subs the way you did? Who said you couldn't build them the way I did? Your choice resulted in your situation. That is completely fair.
I still like the idea of increasing the weight of the torpedoes. Only for level 3 and 4 though. I base this on the logic that you can fit lvl 1 and 2 of most weapons on a marauder, but not levels 3 or 4, because they weigh too much.
I understand that at first there was only one sub type and the higher torps would have not had a use, but now there is a stalker sub that can carry the big boys.
With this solution, you get to keep instant repair subs (I have used these many times for both salvaging and pvp fleet battles.), but those subs will not be able to inflict heavy damage.
As for everyone saying that you couldn't salvage with them if they weren't instant repair, you are just stupid. What about repair times makes you unable to hit salvages? And since one of the higher players gripes is that they are tough cookies vs a base fleet, why would you have a problem with a predictable fleet being run be the AI?
The main thing with subs is they provide such a large learning curve for lower level players. I first got my subs when I was lvl 25 the really helped me prepare for when i got my SW at lvl 28.
why not have dep charges,,, seams the subs even the score for the lower guys getting attacked by the big boys,,,trust me i know,,, i'm higher now but was constantly hit by bigger ones mining or salvaging,,, had no advantage against bigger ships

You know swag the best way to regulat subs are not to limit there armor but to limit there damage why make it so they have an armor slot at all also take away there rights for torpedoes 4 if they had only lvl 2 torpedo that would do the trick
The Predator Submarines currently have a base armor value of 80. This means that if Predators are not equipped with any additional armor and have small flagship, they can instant repair. After several months of seeing how the Predator is being used in combat, we feel that they should not be able to instant repair.
We will be buffing the base armor value of Predator Submarines to ensure that no fleet combination of 4 Predators + a small flagship will allow for an instant repair time.
lol Their armor is NOT limited. They have the same armor option as any other ship that is available. The only thing that has been done is to raise their base armor points. It just means that the loophole is now closed for abuse. And if people keep trying that repair for a couple seconds and send it out then THAT will get closed as well.
Stop whining about it and accept that this is the way it is. Much like we had to accept the nerf in HB that people whined about. People did not get their credits back for that or for the Engine3 nerf and it's not going to happen here either.

It's actually not extreme. If you look at it, subs are among the most quickly repaired things out there with the potential for being the most devastating. Requiring full health before being re-launched is more than fair. Considering that at present there is no armor for use against them and there is not weapon other than a torpedo that can hit them underwater.

here im that person i dont like to hit anything 2 lvls below me i only hit 1 down and 5 up anything below that is because that player hit me with them **** subs and put damaghe on a 15 hour repair fleet with his/her stupid subs that instant repair and they come right back to my base and keep hitting my fleet befor you know it i got 5-6 hours of repair and they are left with none so i go and kill their base just to shut them down for a bit as i repair

So, if predators r only/mostly used to defend bases or spam defense fleets because they insta-repair, and you'll take that away, which I think it's a good idea, have you thought of other scenarios where people will still use Predators? Just make sure it doesn't become another useless hull, such as the stalker sub.

only sub's with no armor are insta repair in the fasion you are complaining about, they are built that way to allow for maximum weapons loadout, but if u prefer, i can put drac armor on mine and see how you like ur weapons doing less damage! problem is that subs take 3-4 times longer to repair than a surface ship with similar hit points and damage.
Preds can still be used for all that it's just that it was sorely abused with the instant repair feature in combination with the massive damage it was causing.

If not, it's a "non-fix" since everyone would just repair each sub with 1 armor point, and launch the fleet again.

Gunboat- click repair, click speed up.
Sub 4- click repair, wait 4 seconds, cancel.
Sub 3- click repair, wait 4 seconds, cancel.
Sub 2- click repair, wait 4 seconds, cancel.
Sub 1- click repair, wait 4 seconds, cancel.
They are all going to get destroyed in about same amount of time anyway....
