with the use of the subs, the little guy can even the score. you dont release the drac ship so other can use them as new one come available the old one should be release. only the guys that are using cc or been on for a long time can hope of winning events. As you can see the guy must been crying all this time and now enjoying this new adjustment
Here is an idea, how about making the Sonar Special worth a crap. Its a junk special that nobody uses because its JUNK. Leave the Preds alone and fix whats available.
Ever heard of Balance? A ship that you can unlock quite soon in the game that can get instant repaired should not be able to tke out the strongesz ships in the game without damage and if without repairing time

I doubt its that reason. I mean, come on, get real. This NEEDED to happen and besides, you can still kill practically all salvages without getting hit.
Adding more base armor to the subs is a wonderful idea.
It will cause for more thought into attacks, cannot just attack at will without any worry. However, there may still be a problem with this which I wont reveal here.
You can't attack without worry with subs, I've had my entire fleet killed with 1 shot from one mortar salvo. Mistake on my part and it does happen. Biggest complaints come from people who were playing with Levis and FFs before subs released and never learned to use em and from the new people who haven't started using FFs, SWs, (and now) HHs. I can build any hull and love my subs. Leave the Preds alone for the smaller people, fix the Sonar special so big players will start using it, and build your fleets to kill subs.
That is really hard to believe. It sounds the code just doesn't take good care with its data to maintain consistent records of damage received, or ships owned. It certainly doesn't sound like something they couldn't fix, although it's baffling that they haven't, since it would be lost revenue to them.
I've had it happen with BB fleets so its not just a problem with subs and I don't think you can make[/U] it happen.
I love it how the people who are unhappy and voicing their thoughts are branded "whiners" by the same high level "whiners" who we had to hear cry about how unfair subs were for months. I will say that using subs allowed me to rise rather quickly in level due to the instant repair, but it also allowed a little competitiveness with the coiners and high levellers. I never planned on making subs a permanent fixture of my attack fleets, but they should be there (with insta repair) for the little guys to reign in the high level bullies who like to work over little guys' fleets. Once you unlock higher level ships, I think subs naturally lose their luster.
I just have to laugh at some of these bohemoths who were so shamefully "bellyaching" about subs and their users. I guess it is more fair to be able to hit and flatten bases with hh and ff when the victims of these attacks haven't any of those to hit back with.
At the end of the day, it is a game and you have to make it work for you. I just hope KIXEYE doesn't start pulling a KOC and making gratuitous changes that never fix the important problems that already exist in the game. Sometimes it looks like a smoke and mirrors game to direct our attention away from other more pressing game concerns that they either can't or won't fix.
well the change really has no effect other than a few extra minutes repair....if you know how to use subs properly you can kill dozens of cargo and never loose one sub and if u pick on a bigger fleet and the kill you your fault....but i can kill most all ships with predator subs unless they have sfb3 or thud hb3 and eng 3 all others die pretty easy so subs are still deadly just increase your tactics
then.....i'll have no way to destroy a level 6 cargo fleet without heavily damage taken......

really doesn't bother me either way about the subs they easy to kill anyway just annoying when lvl 30s that have no skill with sws have to spam subs to try an kill me cause that all they can do
The only reason I spent the time and resources on the sub was because they could instant repair. The subs aren't that good in the first place so why take away the one good thing about them?
Our intention is not to declaw defenses, rather to balance the game appropriately. The intention of instant repair is to help new players get into the game faster, not endlessly be able to assault level 10 salvage ships. Again with DP, only a small percentage were using it as intended.
However, we have also buffed defense by giving turret specials and the upcoming patrol fleet. It's all a delicate balancing act.

Try changing the totally sunken fleet from taking home 500% resources. In fact, it should be that a totally sunken fleet take nothing home.
Why not make all fleets, if a ship is sunk, that sunk ships portion is deducted from the "carrying capacity"?

No. That's silly talk. Why is it there is always some **** that wants to make base hits obsolete? it isnt bad enough that you cant hit a base without 5 sub fleets waiting to catch you on the way out now you would have to come home with zero res too?

If a fleet is totally destoyed, in other words defeated in a base attack, they should come home with no resources, I agree. I am surprised this exists.

makes absolutely no sense.. if a ship can't put more weapons/armor on it that the weight limit restricts, how can it possibly carry more than can be built on it??

I tend to wonder who it is that actually complain about small subs being used? would this be the big players who get owned by smaller sub builders ?
They maybe a nuisance I look at it this way if the little smaller level player does not have something to use to fend off the bigger player, then how much fun is it going to be for these little level players to go out on the open sea when all the big guys can just come along and smash what ever fleets they have. The bigger player can build the sonars into the fleets and search and destroy the subs or maybe they are just to lazy or don't want to spend their $ on them.
Personally I take my hat off to the little player who takes his quick fix subs out and can fight these big players with them, I my self can hardly even take a lvl 5 salvage with them.

You definitely have a point and I respect that. I dont know what the solution is to be honest. I just think this may go to far in the other direction.
Theres also 2 sides of this. I see you dont want to lvl 22-25 players hitting lvl 33 and taking out a base fleet with cheap subs. I get it. What about the 33 that takes on a 28. Should I have no way of inflicting damage when your so far ahead of me in every other aspect that really the only deterent I have is cheap subs. Its really all they are to me anyway. It levels the playing field somewhat so if the big boys do come in they think twice about it the next time. Obviously they worked because there were lots complaining about them.
The solution now of course is cheap instant repair of other small fleets that can still do damage. unfortunately they cant do as much as a sub fleet because of its invincibility underwater. I guess we will see how i all plays out.
