There are currently several ways that a players base can get temporary Damage Protection (a bubble over the base). Two of the ways that you can get Damage Protection is if your base is attacked 4 times in one hour, or 10 times within 24 hours. Unfortunately, players repeatedly bubbling each other are abusing this system.
We will be removing the rules of Damage Protection for when a base is attacked 4 times in one hour, or 10 times within 24 hours. Bases will only receive Damage Protection if it has received a certain percentage of damage to the buildings within a certain period of time.
This change will take effect in conjunction with the new Base Patrol Fleet Feature, which should help to prevent any of the possible negative effects of removing these damage protection rules.

I'm nowhere near maxed out; but as it's going; I'm likely to get annoyed as hell with it & leave the game anyways; they can give non-coiners crap saying there's be no game if not for the coiner; but they are full of it; because every click made in this game gives them coins, & it likely amounts to a sizable paycheck for them; they can feed that line to rubes who aren't PC & Internet technicians; those who are know it's a line of bull.......

Nope, that doesn't work, tried that and it took half of my platforms to get a bubble. Meaning with a good base fleet they can just walk in by slowly working your defense.

when will these new programs take effect?

That's called base design, it's a feature that was implemented long ago

For those who want to redesign their base, or who get rimmed often, I think you should keep the 1hr bubble regardless of damage. But I do agree than anything more than an hour needs to be done through damage or coin.

SWAG, here's some feedback on the 4 hit hour bubble thing. I hate the bubble buddy thing i'll tell ya that. But, lets say a guy comes and d53's my dock, then again, then again, then again over and over and over again? lol I just thought about that after reading the Omega thread and the crap they pull.

Honestly I think Kix needs to fix all the bugs first before opening up anything from these features to come.... I know programming those features will open up a can of bugs and throw the balance way off as things will need to change sooo much. So PLEASE fix the bugs before anything else. These are cool but when you have problems after every update that usually never get fixed then can you imagine the problems after this change?

If folks are getting destroyed way to much they will leave the game. There was another game I used to play a lot with well over 100k in players.... then someone had a bright idea ( a bit like this one ) and made a change to allow more attacks on folks. Within 3 months the game populations were down to 50k players. At 6 months there was less 20k in players.
Just my 2 cents

Happened to me in War Commander. I was still fairly new to the game. Attacks started after the initial protection dropped and didn't stop. Never had a chance to recover before the next attack came in. After a few days of it, I just stopped logging in. Haven't played it since.

Move it to a location where they can't do it. Or at the very least, under the protection of your guns. Your base design IS flexible, regardless of what people whine and moan about. You can't protect everything, but you can choose what you do protect.
