First question, what is a DoT effect? It is damage inflicted at a set frequency over a period of time. DoT effects have been in the game for a very long time. Faction choice is now just for looks. I can explain some of the lore behind the various factions if you would like, but currently it is just a personal choice on which art style you like the best. (I am Scourge because I like their colors the best and they are my favorite faction)

most of the time if not researched you are not told until the build players should know every print and where to get them for certain ships you all say build at will no matter if it works or not and that is a waste of build and time.

Ahh... Slightly wrong there. Net increase PTs offer is 40k, as they use 120k out of the 160k generated, forcing them to go onto L12 turret bases. For the OP: If you're having power issues with HT turrets, it's likely that your turret level itself isn't high enough.

I don't believe there is a maximum amount, but for each ship, you need 10 kits for U1, 30 for U2, and 60 for U3.

With a couple of the newer ships having a negative self range modifier I figured it would be worthwhile to quickly review how range buffs stack. As an example, a Winterfang with Polonium Accelerator and Radioactive Scope will end up having 3 different range modifiers on it. Fortunately, you can just add them all together. People either fit a synch-drive to them, so they lock to a zero-combat speed hull, or Sentinal Stalwart, which has -500% combat speed & an hp buff.. & yup, with the latter engine, defenders definitely won't move

I'm level 85 as of today, and I have been hitting levels 80-160 ever since i've had the ability to do so. Nor have I spent a dime to increase the efficacy of either my base or my fleets. If your base is constantly flat, maybe change your layout and add or remove turrets/gates. My base is by no means on the cutting edge of base design, but if you dont come in with either a full U1 fleet or winterfangs itll likely plant you in my proverbial front lawn. Every building upgrade you see in the TLC is what you'll get, so any turrets that are very low in level, or other buildings, will automatically go to the reward level when you finish x prize pack, so completing Prize Pack 3 will grant you OP Level 13. If you chat in world comms, others will be able to respond to you, note that their sector will be denoted by the last 1 or 2 digits in their name/ID, ie, blah blah name 12345 ID - 1 (denoting sector 1)

Could you be more specific? I started the game and have no clue how to get my ships upgraded or how to build "expert hulls". I have multiple hulls and weapons I want to build but I keep on being told I cannot build expert on the selected hull. No explanation either. Btw I am a little disappointed in this thread - I thought this was supposed to be a tutorial and not just some ramblings such as myself.
