Need Base planning advice/guide

I'm a level 33 player, that needs advice and guides from you! my base defenders are so bad and I need you to suggest me tactics and advices on what turrets to equip and upgrade..

    First of all your powerplants because u are using more power then you produce right now..
    I would recommend to do your walls to max level also asap..
    get your reso and thor asap at the levels needed to be able to unlock and equip turrets like aa plasma,avalanches etc..

    i can give more tips when i have some more time but feel free to ask me anything u want to know

    Try to max out AA Plasma, and Napalms and equip them first.Then focus on maxing Avalche turrets and when u max them out then switch Napalms for Avalanche turrets.Also if u have Owls try to level up those silos too.

    I do have operators, lead & heavy operators 2 of 'em, commando x2, and preservers with lead preserver x3

    Few tips I can give you about base defense.
    • Try to have Napalm turrets (Great range and damage) Better than ost of your turrets
    • Try to get your barricades to lvl 10. They have a ton of health and they do also block splash damage.
    • Protect your power plants
    • Use stingers, shock troppers, heavy gunners and mortar team and snipers inside the bunkers. Around 1 sniper, stinger and mortar team and the rest heavy gunners. The stingers and heavy gunners should have corrosion customization and the mortar team concussion.

    1. Upgrade PowerPlants- you are using more power than you are generating.
    2. Upgrade Walls
    3. Resource Generators- Oil, Metal, Thorium
    4. Base Defenses- Turrets & Towers.
    Good Luck, remember Rome was not built in a day, take your time and do it right.  Ask people in your sector on ideas of different designs, etc.

    I would recommend all the tips that the other players gave out. I will also say the following:

    Wall Design:

    Nowadays, you want to create a base that can protect against Maverick Missiles and Infernos. Putting a solid layer of Walls around the Command Center, to reduce the amount of Damage caused by Mavericks, is a good idea. You also want an outer wall layer whose Walls are separated by a space of one Wall each. Here's my design:

    You don't necessarily have to put Walls around the Bunkers, but I do so just for extra security.

    Turret Choice:

    Until you can get Point Defense Tempests, you should definitely have at least half of your Turrets be AA Plasmas. You should work on getting your other half to become Napalm Turrets, and eventually, Avalanche Turrets.

    As for the Heavy Turrets, I would recommend using a mix of Overwatch and Rail Launchers. The Overwatch will help against Ultra Tanks and Special Forces Infantry during the Event and the Rail Launchers will deal massive amounts of Damage to Infernos.

    I like to use the Blitz Turret for base defense because it can hit not only Missiles but also Ground Units.

    Base Defenders:

    Get rid of those Wraiths. Now that the glory days of the Vanquisher are over, Wraiths are nearly useless in base defense.

    Use Special Forces Infantry as a replacement. If you don't have enough Special Forces Infantry, I would use Hover Tanks because at least they can hit Missiles.

    btw guys, any tips for me on which rouge to attack? that could get me enough thorium and reso?

    If you have Charged Ordnance on an SF Fireteam that is led by a 550 Range Unit, you could do VK40s and Vk30s by destroying the Ion Turrets before they can fire. For Resources I would work on getting Night Owls and farming 30s and 35s with those. You could use Hellstorms, Banshees, Cyclones, or Thunderstorms on those bases too.

    box bases are the worst design in these types of games.  your walls should be like compartments, or layers, basically, the attacker should have to go through 3 or 4 layers of walls to get to your CC, this gives more time for your defense to shoot at the attackers

    Several people have suggested Napalm turrets. Looking at the stats, I'd think Ion turrets would be better. Can anyone explain why?

    ion takes a long time to place last i checked 18 hours each with napalm being 5sec each

    ion takes a long time to place last i checked 18 hours each with napalm being 5sec each
    That and upgrading them is also 5sec while upgrading Ion would take more than a month.And Napalm has much better rate of fire.

    The Napalm turret deals splash damage and has shorter upgrade time. The dps of the napalm turret is also great.
    The ion turret is instead a one hit kill turret with slow RoF. Other turrets in the same category are the Plasma Cannon, Rail Launcher and Flood Turret.

    upgrade your defense lab. There are some long upgrades but they are worth the time. Level 9 turrets are usually cheaper to equip than lvl 8 turrets.

    avalanche is the best example level 9 Avalanche costs 2.5mil thor compared to level 8s 10mil

    hey, so I wanted to ask that I just got an ultra tank its Rank 1 obv, so can anyone suggest me a rouge that can be useful for upgrading the tank?

    any rouge base but the best is what pays 250 percent vxp

    Not trying to troll you but if that was my base at the current state of the game and current events, I would quit the game and find something else to play that will not require me to endlessly farm for the next few months to years. Seriously you are so far behind you are probably looking at 6 months to get your base decent to hold against tier B defense, probably 1 year before you will be able to hold against tier A defense. If you insist on going on your best option will be Avalanche, but you don't even have power for your current weak turrets. Another option would be to upgrade your Bunkers as Strongholds to lvl 9 and put SF in them, you don't need to upgrade all 5, even if you have 1-2 maxed bunkers it makes a huge difference, but upgrading each bunker to lvl 9 takes about 50 days and I think you also need a lvl 8 CC to be able to max bunkers lvl (not sure, you better check).
    And again, yes I was serious about you considering quitting to find another game that doesn't have the huge gap Kixeye created with the game content of the last year.

    Change your Machine Guns for Avalanches, Plasma for Ion, and upgrade your Powerplants so you can produce enough power to sustain your base.
    If you lack enough Power your base defences will be weaker. I recommend setting some of your PowerPlants to Overdrive to meet demand whilst upgrading one of em.
