Directly Player Experts - Update

    Does that mean, the kixeye "experts" doesnt know enough, that you need passionate players to answer game specific questions?

    Thats a very poor statement...

    I honestly don't understand the amount of vitriol on this topic. My experiences with the player experts has been very positive. Is Kixeye's main reason for doing this to save money? Maybe. But that doesn't make it a bad thing. Because I for one would rather have my tickets dealt with by a player who actually knows the problems I report from their own experience, than a Zendesk operative who has never played the game.

    Mate, Kix already has outsourced CS to Zendesk. And I very much doubt their employees play the game at all. So letting actual players handle tickets is definitely an improvement in my book.

    what you are seeing is the initial response using a boiler-plate reply to let you know that someone has seen your ticket

    I had an issue with dock space earlier this week.  I wasn't thinking correctly.  The player response was very satisfactory and allowed me to solve the problem myself.  I believe this is what the player-expert system is meant to do.
    based on previous experience, I do not feel that the Zendesk team would have enough actual game knowledge to solve my specific problem and I would have been quite dissatisfied with the response.

    if it requires more than a written response to solve the issue, it is forwarded to the formal CS and handled like before.

    All sounds good to me. Except that in my experience, prior to your change to "EXPERTS"  My wait time to a urgent Game playing issue,response time went from 24 hours to 6-7 days,  and always a so what type of answer.  Not happy with the recent turn that Kixeye is going.  I am one who is on the game about 98% of my time. I play alot, and your response time is why even put in a ticket, when I do, it is important to me or it is a bad bug.  Answer the issue 6 days later and saying there is no issue 6 days later

    Just hope that these player “experts” are players who also have some empathy for non-whale/coiner players, as well as for their peers. I hope they are not the kixeye peanut gallery trollers from this forum hehe. If so don’t expect the communities attitude and temperament to improve.


    I doubt we'd be that lucky, historically the forums have bred anti community sympathetic trolls. But we can only hope for the best.

    There is already a player based customer service. It is called chat. I have helped numerous people with issues they were having already and I didn't need a special tag to do it. Some of us help people in forums and try to counter trollism when it happens.

    As long as we dont get "player experts", which are only answering with:" Coords...?",
    this could be better as a outside company, which employees doesn´t have a clue about anything in the game.

    Player "experts" are a complete waste of time. More often than not the person answering is far from being an expert and they give poor advice. The responses are shared in closed groups and most are laughable. Customer Support tickets should go to Kixeye representatives. If Kixeye wants to set up a separate 'ask an expert' feature for players to get advice from another player (better name might be just 'ask a player') then that should be done separately so that most players do not have their time wasted by these 'experts' answering tickets.

    I think Kixeye should invent a new category in the forums called "Ask an Expert". I would probably get more laughs from that then I do from this "General discussion" category.

    honestly i didnt like this. it is already the main reason why this forum and a lot of battle pirates pages in the facebook exist. why did you do that to the help center? what will be different?

    With that in mind we’ve partnered with a company that helps to connect players with questions about the game to a small number of carefully selected Battle Pirates player experts. These experts have been selected based on their knowledge of the game and positive interaction with the rest of the community.

    What happens when I submit a support ticket?
    Depending on the nature of your question it will either be routed to a KIXEYE agent or one of our player experts. If player experts are unable to answer a question they’ve been sent it will be passed along to KIXEYE agents, preserving your place in the queue.

    Which types of questions will expert's answer?
    Player experts will primarily receive questions that they can resolve with their understanding of the game alone since they won't have access to the player data agents normally do. Questions that relate to payment or involve personal information will be sent directly to KIXEYE agents.

    Why make this change?
    During our testing questions sent to player experts were resolved significantly faster (many questions were answered in minutes) while providing high quality and well-received advice to players. Because we have players around the world we are able to answer questions nearly 24/7 providing help when it would otherwise be difficult.

    How do I apply to be a player expert?
    We are not currently accepting new applications for player experts. Periodically we will hand select and invite new members through the email address you have registered with Battle Pirates.

    I'm really sorry Major....But.... I'm tired of doing raids and campainsintheasrse collecting Uranium, titanium, zynthium, analium..... I logged in today to do and upgrade and low and behold i now need titanium, so I look on the map.....not a single fkn target, I have never been serious about quitting, I went from $1000 a month to maybe $40, I think i've finally had enough of Collect and Build Pirates and 27 day builds etc.... no battles any more,people hit bases once a week for alli points, no more FvF battles, just sniping, even the bounty was a BS waste, I got hit 1 time and they failed..I really think I'm gonna pack it in almost 7 years and thousands of dollars wasted into boredom.This may be the wrong place to say this but your words saying how great this is struck a nerve, In comms all the disappointment  is building, here's a thought for you, a thing I learned through a billionaire business man, you know those little fragrance trees everyone hangs on their mirror, Lemon Lime cherry? he said "It's easier to sell 5 million things for a dollar than to sell 1 thing for a million"

    The fun has been removed, for most players. Kixeye doesn't need to make things fun, just let us play and stop dictating fleets and targets. The game was fun when everybody had similar tech and we all just fought each other, all day.

    After the mess you just made of the FM, I'm done with spending any coin.  Ill hang around tell I cant do anything with what I can get free then fade off into the sunset.  

    PS Kix if you want to end BP do us all a huge service and just flip the switch.

    wow 7 years been playing for 6 took me a year with minor amount of coin np.   i kept up with the game till some bozo decieded to get 1 billion pt for the FM, now i have been playing catch up finally got cought up with FM but the monthlys were falling back quickly.   Now i just got back to tier 4 yehaw but alas kix u make things harder so i am gone no more kix games u fools HA HA to those who stay

    What a dumb idea.You think the people who make the game would have some "experts".This sounds like a way to dismiss good players with off hand remarks from less skilled players .Putting the lunatics in charge of the asylum never works.

    Come on, really? Do I have stupid tattooed to my forehead? You chose experts ?? Just like the last hull named for a known player who is known to "break the rules" deserved it. You pick who you want who will be yes men for Kixeye.

    I hate to say this , I just don't get the same enjoyment from the Battle pirates anymore . Way too much chair time to keep up and once your in front that only lasts a week or so . Then back to catch up . Cheers

    Worst idea Kixeye has ever had.. In the beginning i thought it was going to be with game play help but to have other players doing actual customer support is just idiotic. If the FM doesnt push players out of the game this will.. Ill let it go for now but I know more about this game then most of these so called experts and will be sending in tickets asking for a kixeye rep to answer. If that doesnt work obviously Kixeye doesnt like the money i put into this game and ill just stop spending money.

    Never have written in forums before, but needed to now. I have been playing this game since dark waters. I will say that in these years I have played, I have learned to adapt to the changes you guys have made to make the game better some good/some bad. The players had their moments and we moved on. But I have to say, the last few months with some of the things you guys are starting to pull is getting out of hand. I am reading group pages and forums and the players are speaking, but you are not hearing, but you state that the game is ours and is created by our passion and dedication. The game is becoming more of a chore than being fun anymore. I think you guys really need to listen or more players are going to leave (unless that is your intent). Like, why did we need to change to FM into a mini weekly raid. Don't we have enough to do as it is. I am not a big coiner but I do spend about $50-80 monthly to play. Like I said, I have enjoyed playing the game for years, but if things don't get better, I have better things to spend my money on. Sorry for the rant, but needed to speak my peace.

    Well from what I have read and seen in game you all talk a bunch of crap. With this newest change there a lot of 100+ players that are refusing to coin and lost are thinking about quitting. Actually our entire alliance is talking about finding another game and moving the alliance there and stop playing this rip off game. I see in your future, even though you cannot see it, that this game will not last much longer. You are killing it.
