Forsaken Mission Changes - Starts 10/25

Howdy Captains,

We have a few major changes to the Forsaken Missions (The FM) next week.  We have heard your feedback that you were not able to always redeem the prizes you wanted, since they were gated behind other prizes.  To fix this we are changing the way you are awarded prizes in the FM.  

You are going to continue to earn points by hitting Garrison Targets on the World Map.  However instead of being award predetermined prizes when you hit certain check points,  you are going to be able to spend your points on prizes similar to the Event Hull Store.  You will be able earn as many points as you want in more than double the amount of time as the previous format - 6.5 days.  Due to the changes in how prizes are redeemed you will no longer be able or need to reset the FM.


Prizes will still be grouped together in prize pools.  Once you redeem a prize from that pool or if you have previously redeemed all prizes in the prize pool, you will have access to the tokens associated with that prize pool. The payout for targets has been set up that you will be hitting the same number of target for to get the points for particular prize pools. Uranium will no longer be award through the FM,  but will be available through World Map targets.

While we are making this change in the prize redemption we are rebalancing two of the targets associated with the FM.  The 113 and 88 are going to be rebalanced and renamed as the 115 and 89 respectively.  I am sorry for the previous incorrect information that we were not changing the targets.

TL;DR Version:

  • FM Prize Redemption changes from Milestone-based to Store Format

  • More than double the Hour Window to hit targets

  • Uranium will no longer be available in the FM

  • Tokens for each prize pool are now immediately available to redeem if you redeem a blueprint prize in each prize pool each week.

    • If you have already redeemed every item in the prize pool you have immediate access to the tokens

  • Rebalancing the 113 and 85 88 Targets to 115 and 89

Oh yes and one last thing….  As many of you have been asking about the Trident Missile,  the team here was hard at work making we could give you the Tier 6 countermeasure you deserved so here it is…  The Quad-dent Missile!  Wait we didn’t use that name? Oh okay here is the Sprint Countermeasure! It will be able to counter enemy rocket fire, and will be available in the FM starting next week.

    Given the release of the Sprint, I'm guessing the 're-balance' will be that awful target from the last TLC that had all those coldsnaps in it. I am NOT amused.
    I dont mind the targets. As long as they tuned those Rhinos to a lower difficulty. The base itself wasnt much different (heck you could outrange the new coldsnap), but those rhino could kill your flt in a few salvos.

    Look can kix and the reps please stop saying that the fm isn't changing for a year. Last year it was the 107 being replaced with 102s and 109s. Now it is the 113s with 115. I don't care if it is still a garrison target. It is kix changing the targets. Enough of the hiding behind a semantic argument.  Over and over again we tell people to concentrate on the FM first and work up from there, but once again we are left feeling as we are lying to our allies when we tell them their fleet will be good for a year.
    Ive stopped saying it, I KNOW, it going to change when it becomes too easy or give it too much free tokens.
