What are you guys gonna do about the Steam portal crashing, or have you stopped support for that too? Are you going to extend the event to cover the lost time for the people not able to log in, if not, how will they be compensated?

Please, Scarlett is a Community Manager. Not the Main Engineer, so you can't harass him to fix what he can't.

I assume you are asking for Vega Conflict on Firefox. The game will be auto-updated regardless I believe.

As long as you have Unity and not updated Firefox. You should be fine, if you updated Unity to a point it doesn't work, you can download previous versions. Same as Firefox, but as they say are vulnerable.

Nope, I was asking about all the fantastic updates kix is making for us. Would be great if they were optional

Great.  I can browse at work, but I CAN'T install Steam.  And FvF on a mobile is marginal, at best. Thanks Kixeye... there goes 30% of my play time.

Oh, but you can. You can buy a cheap portable hard-drive, aka My Passport. Install on there and just hook it up at your work computer. If you are allowed to browse at work of course.

Vega Conflict is now supported by Facebook GameRoom (FBGR). All those who play Vega Conflict from Firefox can keep playing it using FBGR. More info here: https://www.facebook.com/gameroom/.

If you switch to the LTS (long term support) stream, you should be able to continue to play VC while still getting security updates. It looks like 52.x LTS will be around for at least another year.
What is that LTS and where can we set it?

Two reasons why it makes sense to be able to play VC on browser (kixeye.com) when needed:

1.) You get slightly better prices on coins / offers. Whenever I purchased any the price on Steam & Mobile was somewhere around 10,99€ for 1,000 coins while the price on Kixeye.com & Browser was 9,99€. And I could even switch to $ instead of € which made it slightly better, too. Not really a big difference but hey. Better than nothing.

2.) VEGA Conflict doesn't work reliably on steam. I try to get a video out explaining the options. I'll try to test Internet Explorer. Anything I have to be aware of here? Some specific version? 32 Bit or 64 Bit or anything?

Remember to set FF to not update!
And FF the best option for when steam goes down, and that has happened a few times lately.

Do we also set FF to "Not Update" when we do this ESR thing?

I have seen both flying around, and I don't know which is better, so I have done both, I believe the not updating is the better option, but in case it does, I have updated the ESR thing as well. (as this may not work later, as they are dropping support)

In FF, put this in your URL: about:preferences#advanced
    Click Update tab
Select "Never check for updates (not recommended: security risk)"

ESR is simply just Firefox with plugins enabled. It will update as normal, provided you don't disable it of course, but will continue to support plugins. It's not until version 59 that Mozilla will finally remove the plugin support, for good. At the rate Firefox updates, it'll probably be something like 1-2 years before that happens, though.

Should you still miss the deadline, you can find current version here: https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/51.0.1/
