    about time something was done to stop the Stalker from sucking, so far it's been a total waste of resources researching it

    So you're saying that you would prefer the special allow the Stalker to stay at surface level longer, as doing so would make them better for base attacks. What does everybody else think of this?

    Swag, here is what he wants: he wants an option to force the stalker to surface on command. In this way, a stalker can still be covered by a single pinch when it surfaces, it can sneak past channels, yet it can still have a lot of time to destroy warehouses.

    Would this be do-able in coding? It would greatly help out the currently underpowered stalker.

    There are currently no specials in the Advanced Lab that are designed specifically to boost the effectiveness of submarines.

    We will be adding 3 pieces of special equipment to the Advanced Lab that will allow submarines to:
    • Increase Havoc Torpedo damage.
    • Stay submerged for longer sprints in between surfacing.
    • Increase the submarine's ability to avoid detection from sonar.

    These additions should make the submarines, especially the Stalker, more desirable in combat.

    Stalker i can live with its a good basedefensefleet

    1 increased havocdamage i don't fight predators now i avoid them because its always the same stuf no thinking. They send 10 subfleet a day you get tired of them
    2stay submerged longer = i want them to die fast so i can fight real shipbattles
    3avoid sonar??? you send 5 ships in 5 directions you get them

    the subs where the answer for the lower level to deal with the highlevel with the new weapons (booster) they can fight back!!! (something like pinches)

    In my opinion subs are part of the problem in this game now. They should remove them from game!!! In coms people **** i don't fight there subs. yes i don't they aren't worth annyone's time

    Look stop complaining about the subs. Subs are only annoying to you because you cant seem to learn how to use them. If you knew how to use them right then you wouldn't be complaining. I admit i may be a low level but i have learned to use every ship that i own with what weapons i have. And even now im still learning different combinations on my ships. If you have to complain about a ship then you don't know what the H*** your doing. If you don't want to get pointed out then stop complaining. Stalker subs and Predator subs are not only for low level players because i see level 28-33 players still using. Now stfu and play the game without complaining.

    Staying above water longer is a waste.

    Why would you want to use them in a base fight?

    Your ships are hanging back out of howie/rocket range and your sub is doing what?

    rockin it with 2 weapons?



    whats the point of a "submarine" if it stays above water? thats like walking into a base with a BB and FFs or Levis

    would be a pointless special I can only see one use for it....rimjobs

    the big issue is repair time. Base fleet? cool, but a 18 hour repair fleet?

    could you clarify the 3rd special? What does "increase the submarine's ability to avoid detection from sonar" mean

    Subs are good the biggest problem with it is instead of having fun doing raids. You get subs subs subs.... Resources aint a problem annymore with all the salvage. If people like yourselfes would send real fleets to fight me. I would fight them. they are stallers and after 10 fleets you get annoyed by it. (oh you going basehunting ill tag along with subs) Oh your under attack wel i won't send my fleets ill send subs)

    Subs can stay give them limited range arround your base. They are small they don't have the fuel capacity. Then people wil start using real ships again and stop bugging annoying us with the **** things.

    They are boring!!!

    What the hell are you trying to do? You nerf them to make them a little less annoying, then you buff them to make them a little more annoying? Why not just let them alone then? Isn't it bad enough that good fleet battles NEVER happen anymore? If some friends and I go into a neighboring sector scouting with wolves, guess what shows up. About 6 level 25-32 players all using subs. I still don't understand the **** with giving the little guy the chance to fight back? When I was a little guy I COULDN'T fight back. Why should you get the chance to? I've gone to hit bases and got jumped by subs, get his coords then level him. So you want to fight back when you pick the fight? I typically don't hit 4-5 levels below me unless everyone is bubbled up or there's no bases within 20 minutes. I just can't get over why a level 24 with subs should be able to sink a level 32 with HHs?

    I used them from level 25ish to maybe 28. Once I had wolves I stopped using them. I remember fighting fleet to fleet with BBs. Get them destroyed, repair for 20 minutes then go back for more, get destroyed and not enough resources to repair, so i fix what i can then go do something else. Why do these lower level people think everything should be so **** easy?

    tooooo many advanced lab researches, 'we' really are beginning to need some kind of 'other' facility that can research things. (if 'we' haven't played the game for months already)

    Cant wait for the new tech. I love using both types of subs. But would like new stuff for the stalkers. Right now the Stalkers are used to support Levis and it works quite well :)

    subs are a joke.....with instant repair because of no armor people can just keep poppin them out and damaging attackers...15 seconds after docking they are back out with havoc 4's swinging....they are an irritant to me and torpedo damage should be reduced if anything..OR GIVE US DEPTH CHARGES!!!!!

    just so you understand i dont like subs dont want them and wish you would just delete all of them......they arent strong enough to win but only annoy me when i get a dead fleet flag and 4 subs to fight

    Just another kixeye twist to get heavy coiners to dump a few hundred dollars into the game. Anyone who has played long enough knows the pattern. They make something over powered every month or two. People who spend crazy money have it right away and crush others for a month or so. Then by the time the average player gets it, something new is introduced that is "better" OR the weapon/ship is nerfed. i.e. cut4's dominated long ago, then hb3, then back to missiles. VM's were nasty, then weak, now more balanced. goes in patterns. That is why you research everything and have it ready when the power shifts to new weapon. But i do hate subs and believe this is a bad idea. Why reward pests? People have been playing over a year, spent plenty of money and time. Just to have someone who has played for a month to have over powered subs?

    Same here lvl 31 and my advanced lab has enough in it to keep me going the rest of the year - already.

    Although I do understand stuff being advanced so going in an advanced lab I was thinking...

    How about anything that affects a ships hull - like armour special, streamlining or anything to make subs quicker etc that it goes in the Naval Lab

    So you have Reactive, Ablative, Layered specials in the Naval lab - lets those of us who have got all the ships so far to use the Naval Lab for something else and allows you guys to put more in the Advanced lab

    Aren't subs already OP enough for their size? Increasing damage or Underwater time would make them even more OP...
    If you introduce this you should also introduce

    Subs are traditionally overpowered ships. Remember they nearly shut down the Atlantic ocean during WWII. In what were basically motorized tin cans.

    edit: and I say this as so far we have yet to see any of the "future updates" actually show up in the game
    Folks, the KIXEYE team puts their lives into these games (me included). The simple fact is that we have the luxury of not having to put up with rude **** and disrespect will not be tolerated towards ANY KIXEYE team member. Understood?

    There is no more quick repair subs. With the Predator's amor being increased, the ability to quickly get them back to sea is gone.

    Agreed. Personally I love subs, but I've found seawolves to be faster and more efficient, but that doesn't necessarily mean subs are useless or nooby. I can't wait to actually build more stalkers, ones that I can actually use.

    However, insta subs need to end. Not only were they unfair, they kept sapping my oil.

    I think to make this idea work we will either need a new sub with 3 special slots, or to add a special slot to the 2 current subs. Without speed they are useless, in knitting engines are needed.

    The Stalker does has far too high repair time, I never use them. Preditor subs are for those without sea wolves.

    The idea of being able to choose when you submerge is great. It will add a little more skill to the game play. I kill subs by counting down till they will rise and turning to them before they retreat to a safe distance, they are useless if u can outrange them with SFB, more so if you have LT3.

    People use sonar? Not sure their is a need to aviod sonar...

    I second having 4 havok on the Stalker, gives it some punch, I'd use them in FvF battles!

    These new specials wont make subs OP.....
    Preds will have to sacrifice their engines and then they will be sitting ducks.
    Stalkers will have 1 slot open for one of these specials so maybe they will be worth it
