You can currently deploy a fleet outside of your base to defend it. While this can be helpful in defending your base, we feel that players should also have the ability to have a fleet to defend inside of the base as well.

We will be implementing a feature that allows players to deploy a single fleet within their base that will attack invading fleets. Players will be able to set an attack radius of the fleet to customize how far away a fleet will travel to engage enemy ships. This gives players the ability to prevent the patrolling fleet from being “kited” (lured) away from the base.

If a player is present when their base is being attacked by an enemy fleet, the player will be free to control the patrolling ships how they see fit.

    hmmm...I think attacking times should be increased and maybe also nerf the defending fleet as I don't want an SFB 3 fleet sniping my mortar FFs while it is traveling through the channel. If both are at full power base defending will become OP and impossible to destroy them

    I don't like this idea much. The people my level are hard enough to get into, this will make it not worth the effort. I guess I'll have to go back to hitting bases that have no chance of keeping me out.

    Well I know I'll be letting sw's patrol mine with SFB3 ^^
    And question: Are we going to be able to choose where our fleet is deployed in our base when they attack it?

    Love it... absolutely love it.

    Don't think the defending fleet would need a nerf at all, now you better have a prep fleet, if not two on hand.

    This is a very interesting feature pushing the balance closer to bases than it is now with all this new draconiana specials and siege weapons. Very good!

    That's what I'm getting out of it.

    I'm also assuming that it will be destroyed like any other fleet that is set to guard

    That is essentially correct.

    i kinda like this but i say to not have vary strong fleets guarding

    I love the idea. I think it would make a prep fleet much more important, and the game as a whole much more realistic. I do believe though that the defending fleet must not add to the hit points of the base. In other words, destroying a base fleet should not bubble a base, nor even take it to 1% damaged.

    And how is this really any different than putting a fleet outside? Base hitters will just send in a prep fleet to clear the fleet inside then retreat, just like they do now with clearing outside defenders. Even if you put them in the center of the base, they can easily be kited from the outside.

    good luck clearing a fleet that is at an unsnippable spot behind my turrets(there where my dock is)

    only one person can only attack at a time still right? I know that u all are trying to make it like base invaders. But if u make it to where there can be multiple players that attack a persons base at a time then u will loose alot of poeple that play this game. I just hope it is one person at a time still

    id make it like a merc fleet. you can deploy them when you need them, but there is a limited amout, but without a time limit. if not this, at least put the weight down or have it slightly nerfed so bases dont become impossible

    If you suppress the DP as it is currently, it will be easy for players to send a first fleet to destroy the base fleet then a second one to destroy the base.
    I suppose the DP will be obtained after heavy damages to avoid any cheating. So why not 3, 4 or 5 attacks possible to levelled the base completely ?
    Your proposal will in fact help those against which these bubbles are used, and let the defenders without defences. Great.

    Couple of things to balance things up

    1) Fleets should not be allowed to be placed inside the base enclosure but only outside it.

    2) Fleet damage should not count towards over-all base damage.
    Empty vessels make the most noise.

    I got another thing you should implent...make ut like at WC that you can say if the defensive fleet should stand ground,move small distance or chase the enemy whereever he is

    it is a good way to fight against hackers and heavy fleets, but we already have specials for the base turrets. this will make it alot harder for lower levels, as they have smaller ships and smaller turret special. also most fleets could smash a mortar fleet without many issues and and sfb2 and 3 on sea wolves can kite circles around mortars without damage
